    We currently have 10 people on our team and are growing very fast so that number changes with our growth. We have 2 registered nurses and 7 nurse assistants.

    Yes! Each RN has an active BSN nursing degree, and each nurse tech has a certificate. Also, each member has up to date BLS certification.

  • WHAT IS A 'SENIOR SITTER'?
    An elderly companion or senior sitter is a non-medical caregiver that can be there whenever and wherever clients need them whether that be full-time, part-time, 24/7. Care can take place in a variety of settings such as senior living housing, nursing homes, hospitals, rehabilitation facilities, etc., but most often takes place within a home setting. However, elderly sitters can only perform certain tasks that are not medically related or involve physical contact (such as ADLs), so their roles are generally limited to providing basic supervision and companionship that can also include light housekeeping and errands depending upon the agreement made with the caregiver.
  • WHAT DO 'SENIOR SITTER' SERVICES INCLUDE?
    In general, senior sitters are there to keep seniors company while their family or regular caregivers are away. They also can provide company to the elder while they are in the hospital recovering from a surgery or incident while loved ones go to work or tend to other business. Some traditional services of senior sitters include: • Providing company, companionship and friendly conversations with charges. • Playing games or engaging in mind stimulating activities. • Taking short outings to the yard or for short walks when possible. • Offering seniors medication reminders, but not assisting with administration. • Light exercise guidance within the patient’s limitations and comfort level. • Preparing light meals such as soups, sandwiches or snacks. • Assisting with light housework and chores such as dusting, laundry and light cleanup. • Running errands such as short grocery trips, picking up medications, etc. • Transportation for elderly charges to doctor’s appointments and other outings.

    YES! We have staff to help you 24/7.

  • DO YOU TAKE INSURANCE FOR EITHER SERVICE?
    No, not at this time. This is something we will be incorporating with persons that carry long term health insurance.
  • WHAT ARE WEEKLY WELLNESS VISITS? WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT?
    With a weekly wellness visit you get a height and weight. Complete vital signs including oxygen saturation monitoring. We also prepare all your medication trays for the week. We are advocates with your doctor and we have the tools to even take an EKG and blood sugar analysis if necessary.
  • WHY ARE WEEKLY WELLNESS VISITS IMPORTANT?
    They provide a vital part of healthy living by early detection if there is a medical problem. For example, if we recognize a trend of higher-than-normal blood pressure readings, we will contact you doctor for consultation.
  • HOW LONG IS AN AVERAGE WELLNESS VISIT?
    Usually about an hour.
  • WHAT CAN GO WRONG WITHOUT A CERTIFIED NURSE CONDUCTING WELLNESS VISITS?
    Incorrect medication dosing is just the start. Underlying conditions that are not visible such as a-fib, hypertension, congestive failure and many more. We have the experience to notify you when we think health issues need to be addressed with your doctor.
  • DO YOU CHARGE HOURLY FOR BOTH WELLNESS VISITS AND SITTING SERVICES?
    Wellness visits are only done by a registered nurse. Sitting services are provided by our nurse assistants and thus these are 2 separate services.
  • I'M A CHILD HOPING TO BOOK CARE FOR MY PARENT, WHAT IF HE/SHE IS RESISTANT?
    We can schedule a FREE visit and speak to them about the great benefits we can provide. We will also lay out some of the other options for them with you there as well. Often, this personal touch can relieve a lot of anxiety.
  • WHAT AREAS DO YOU SERVICE?
    Presently we serve the entire Ti-County area of Charleston, Berkley and Dorchester areas.
